Jazz Chisholm Jr Wins 2nd Base Job

Marlins General Manager Kim Ng announced that Jazz Chisholm Jr has won the second base job. He beat out Isan Diaz for the opening day nod.

Jazz started off Spring training with a bang hitting lead off home run against the Houston Astros, showing the explosiveness he brings to the table.

In 20 spring training games, Jazz has put up a stat line of .268 batting average, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 4 stolen bases.

He still has shown his struggles at the plate striking out 13 times in 41 at bats.

Chisholm Jr will be the first Bahamian opening day starter since Andre Rodgers started for the Chicago Cubs in 1964.
