Buffalo defeated Liberty on January 4 at the Thomas A Robinson stadium and The Bahamas Bowl registered its highest U.S. Television rating since 2016.
The game received a viewership of 1.14 million, peaking at 1.5 million, and that figure helped ESPN to a 14 percent increase in viewership of its non-playoff bowl games.
The game was the only bowl game aired during that time slot on ESPN’s family of networks.
During the telecast, The Bahamas was featured prominently in the taped segments around commercial breaks.
