An active January continues for local baseball talent and Jayln Pinder becomes the latest teenager to ink a minor league deal.
Pinder, a 16-year-old infield/outfield prospect out of the International Elite Sports Academy signed with the Texas Rangers for the current 2025 class.
The Grand Bahama native said he found baseball by happenstance, but took that dedication to another level.
The Rangers have of course been active in their recruitment of Bahamian players over the last decade dating back to Dale Davis in 2015.
Since then, the organization has signed eight players out of The Bahamas from various programs, including top overall prospect Sebastian Walcott, Rashawn Pinder and earlier this week – Dave Neely.
