It was an active week for the University of the Bahamas Mingoes sports, both in track and field and on the volleyball court.
Mingoes athletics opened their season locally at the t-bird flyers meet last saturday.
Davia Musgrove finished first in the open women triple jump with a leap of 10.55 meters and second in the long jump at 4.86m.
Lhevinne Joseph won his heat in the open men’s 400m in a time of 49.78, the second fastest time in the field.
Joseph teammed with Malynte Clarke, Jackson Ozias and Michal Bullard to win the mixed 4x400m relay in 3:45.87 seconds.
Bullard also won her heat in the under-20/open women 400m in 1:01.35 and placed third overall.
In the open 100m, George Minns was third in 11.55 seconds while Ozias was third in the 800m in a personal best 2:02.59 seconds.
Clarke finished second in the open 200-meters in 26.29 seconds and Rashad Evans was third in the open javelin throw after posting a personal best 41.60 meters.
Mingoes volleyball didn’t fare as well as they continued their showcase at the Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium,
In game two they fell 25-16, 25-6 and 25-17 to the Warhawks
