The Texas Southern Tigers scored two touchdowns on the ground and another two in the air to claim the inaugural Bahamas HBCUX Classic 2014.
The Tigers moved to 3-0 on the season with a 30-16 win over the Central State Marauders last night at the Thomas A Robinson Stadium.
Reserve quarterback Jamal Small started his second game in place of Homer Causey and threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns.
He also ran for 108 yards on 13 carries.

The Tigers would respond when Small hooked up with Fred Plummer for 26 touchdown.
They took a two score lead when Small threw another touchdown pass, this time from six yards out, to Malik Cross.
Texas Southern took a 13-3 lead at the half.
Porter looked to be stopped for a loss in the backfield but reversed field to score on a spectacular 26 yard score.
It made the score 20-3 early in the third quarter.
Central State stayed in the game with back to back scores, highlighted by Christian Wilson’s 25 yard interception return for a score which trimmed the deficit 20-16.
The Tigers’ Eric Medina kicked a 24-yard field goal to give his team a 23-16 lead before Porter sealed the win with his second touchdown run.
