NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Sebastian Walcott is absolutely on fire.
The Bahamian top prospect has homered in four straight games for the double-A Frisco Roughriders, continuing an incredible run since returning from elbow surgery.
Walcott went 2-4 with a walk and a home run Wednesday night, his sixth Homer with Frisco, as the Roughriders beat Amarillo 12-9.
In 28 games with Frisco this season, the 20-year-old is batting .310 with six homers, 15 RBI’s, seven steals and a .970 OPS.
Including his rehab assignment, Walcott is hitting .325 with eight homers, 17 RBI’s, eight steals and a 1.037 OPS this season.
He’s also doing it as the Rangers’ number one prospect and MLB’s number nine overall prospect.
Miller Signs With Ningbo Rockets in China
Franco Miller Jr. is taking the next step in his professional basketball journey.
The 6’3″ point guard has reportedly signed with the Ningbo Rockets of the Chinese Basketball Association, his third professional destination in many seasons.
Miller is coming off a strong summer with Team Bahamas, where he has been one of the team’s most important contributors in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers.
Through seven games, Miller is averaging 17.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
He recently helped The Bahamas go 2-0 in window four, including 13 points and seven assists in the 100-82 win over Panama.
Miller’s professional journey began in Spain with Fibwi Palma, where he averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and three assists during the 2024-25 season, helping the club earn promotion.
He then made the move to the NBA G-league, joining the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he averaged 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in the 2025-26 season.
Now he heads to Ningbo, a team that finished 21-21 in the 2025-26 CBA regular season, good for 11th place, before losing both games of its first-round playoff series against eventual champion Shanghai.
For Miller, it’s another opportunity to develop his game, take on a bigger professional role and continue building his resume.
And if his recent play with the Bahamas is any indication, Ningbo could be getting a very confident guard.
Bahamas Gaining Ground on the World Basketball Stage
Team Bahamas is gaining ground in the FIBA world rankings, even if the number beside its name hasn’t changed.
The Bahamas remains 49th in the world, but its FIBA point total has jumped from 290.4 in March to 343.0 as of September 1, a gain of 52.6 points, or 18.1%.
The Bahamas also moved up one spot to eighth in the latest FIBA Americas power rankings, following its 2-0 start to the second round of the World Cup Qualifiers.
And the gap to the teams directly ahead is closing.
The Bahamas is just 8.3 points behind 48th-ranked Great Britain, 10.4 behind Senegal at 47, and 18.8 behind Hungary at 46.
After defeating Uruguay and Panama to open the second round, The Bahamas is now 4-4 overall in the Qualifiers and continues to build its international profile.
The ranking may still say 49, but the numbers are moving in the right direction.
