Team Bahamas Wins Babe Ruth Caribbean Region 14U Title

On the heels of showcasing their skills against the best in the country, elite junior softball talent took their show on the road.

The Bahamas’ 14-and-under girls softball team captured the championship at the Babe Ruth Caribbean Region International Invitational in Fort Myers, Florida.

Team Bahamas wrapped up the weekend with a dominant 12-1 victory over Grand Cayman in the title game, finishing the tournament with a 4-1 record.

The Bahamas jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, powered by key hits from Kylea Londyn Greene, Cassidy Jones, and Temera Bullard. They added five more in the second to put the game away.

Greene went a perfect 2-for-2 with two rbis, Bullard drove in two, and pitcher Madison Dillet held the Cayman bats in check to seal the win.

Team manager Shane Albury led a staff that also included head coach Dachye Stubbs alongside assistants Oscar Greene and Alvonne Hall.

The Bahamas opened with wins over FMC Montana and their first matchup against Grand Cayman. Following a loss to FMC Gutzdorf, they defeated Naples to advance to the title game.
