Franco Miller Jr’s rookie season of pro basketball may be a historic one for his club with an opportunity this weekend at promotion.
The team advanced to the final playoff round for promotion to Primera FEB, against Huesca La Magia in a home and away series.
In the first leg, Miller scored a team high 11 points and made three three pointers, but Palma lost 68–65, setting the stage for a decisive return match at home on may 31.
Over the course of the season, Miller averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.
His rookie season was highlighted by his performance against Mataró when he scored a career high 31 points and earned MVP honors.
Hunter, KB Trepca win Kosovo League Title
Sammy Hunter’s rookie season has produced a league title in Kosovo.
Hunter and KB Trepca won the Kosovo Basketball Superleague title on may 21, their second consecutive national championship.
They defeated KB Bashkimi 82–67 in game 6 of the finals, winning the series 4–2.
Hunter’s best game of the series was in game three when he scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds.
Earlier in the season, trepça also won the Kosovo Cup for the fourth consecutive time when they defeated Bashkimi 85–79 in the final.
Throughout the regular season, Hunter averaged 9.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
He shot 45 percent from the field and 35 percent from three.
