A pair of Bahamian baseball players are headed to the Florida High School Athletic Association State Tournament in their first year with a new program.

Raivon Pinder, Jamar Miller and the Brito Panthers out of Miami, Florida are continuing their storybook postseason run in the FHSAA state quarterfinals.

The Panthers defeated Miami Christian 14-12 Tuesday afternoon to sweep the regional final 2-0.

After a 14-13 regular season, the Panthers began their postseason run with the district title.

Both Pinder and Miller are products of the International Elite Sports Academy and joined a Brito program that has produced over 20 major leaguers.
