This year, CARIFTA aquatics and athletics will be hosted in the same location so its fitting that both teams came together to celebrate each other before they take on the best in the region.
The teams were hosted to a pep rally yesterday at the Andre Rodgers National Stadium ahead of this weekends competition in Trinidad and Tobago.
Bahamas Aquatics will be fielding a 36-member team chasing their 7th consecutive championship.
The track and field team has 78-members and finished second last year to perennial champions, Jamaica.
This year’s track team has a record number of qualifiers.
CARIFTA aquatics will be hosted at the National Aquatics Center in Couva, 19th to 23rd, while track and field will be hosted at the Hasley Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, April 19th to 21st.
The action begins Saturday at 9am on OurTV for exclusive live coverage of CARIFTA track and field.
