Bahamas Basketball was placed into one of the most competitive groups ever in international competition.
For the upcoming FIBA Americup, team Bahamas was drawn into group A alongside the United States, Brazil, and Uruguay.
Group B includes Panama, Venezuela, Canada, and Puerto rico
Group C includes the Dominican Republic, host Nicaragua, Argentina and Colombia.
During the group phase of the competition, each team will play one game against all other teams within its group.
The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals.
Argentina is the reigning champion, having won the title in Brazil in the 2022 edition.
This will be the 20th edition of the FIBA Americup which began in 1980 and has been hosted bi annually since 1993.
