Adderley, Walcott Participate In MLB Spring Breakout

MLB Spring Breakout gives young players an opportunity to fast track their minor league experience and compete against other top prospects.

A new beneficiary to the program this year was Bohan Adderley of the New York Mets.

Defensively, Adderley flashed both the glove and the arm that has the 6’3” 190 pound prospect viewed as a potential fit on the infield or in the outfield.

In his debut pro season in the Dominican Summer League, Adderley hit .229 with 27 rbi, 30 runs and 27 stolen bases through 47 games.

He also had a .359 on base percentage and a .676 ops.

And of course the Rangers’ top prospect and 17th ranked overall – Sebastian Walcott made his second spring breakout appearance and showed the potential that has many pundits believing he will be in the majors sooner than previously expected.

The second edition of MLB Spring Breakout included 68 of MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects entering the 2025 season.

That list included five of the top 10 and 12 of the top 20 overall prospects.
