How to Cope with Shaunae’s Gold Medal: A Flowchart

Last night, Bahamian runner Shaunae Miller shocked the world when she won the Olympic Gold Medal in the 400 meter race with a controversial dive at the end to beat American Allyson Felix.

American track fans and casual observers alike called foul  on Miller for winning in that fashion while Bahamians on social media emphatically rallied behind their victorious compatriot.

Needless to say, that things got quite contentious on the internet.

Well I’m here to mend fences between the country I call home and the country that I came of age in the best way I know how: with flow charts and memes.

I know last night has America upset, so here’s how you can cope with the unexpected result of last night’s race. You’re welcome in advance.
