Hield Ends Agent Search

Add another anecdotal link between future NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant and Bahamian superstar Buddy Hield.

The interaction between the two went viral during the Sooners’ NCAA tournament run and Hield followed up sitting courstside at a late season Lakers game.

Now Hield will share an agent with his childhood basketball idol.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Hield’s agent search came to an end last night when the Wooden, Naismith and Osscar Robertson award winner signed with  Rob Pelinka of Landmark Sports.

Pelinka, who also represents James Harden, Dieon Waiters and formerly Kevin Durant during his draft process – will reportedly be responsible for Hield’s contract and marketing, according to a source.

Hield is the second member of the current draft class to sign with Pelinka following Washington Huskies’ freshman Marquise Chriss.

The highly acclaimed former Oklahoma guard is projected to be a high to mid lottery pick in June’s upcoming NBA Draft.
